PC-Based Transcribe Station
VoiceWave Transcribe replaces a traditional “Port” and “Transcribe Station”
with state-of-the-art software and a Network/Internet connection to a VoicePower System.
Transcriptionists can reside anywhere in the world without sacrificing any loss in automated
server tracking, job routing, or audit trail. Using VoiceWave Transcribe's state-of-the-art
integration to a VoicePower server, managers need not worry about sacrificing security, turnaround
time, or overall management control. Together, VoiceWave Transcribe and VoicePower assure that
reports are done on-time. Using preset user criteria, overdue reports are automatically pulled
from one transcriptionist, prioritized, and rerouted to another transcriptionist (possibly
somewhere else in the world).
Workflow is the Key Factor
While many focus on the upfront and recurring cost savings of the Internet, the
“key factor” lies in the revolutionary workflow between a PC (running VoiceWave Transcribe) and a
DVI VoicePower server. While any “WAV Player” can be utilized to playback dictation files, much
can be sacrificed in the way of functionality that is taken for granted using traditional
technologies (“Port” and “Transcribe Station”). Dictation system managers have become very
dependent on the timely feedback of “who is working”, “on what work”, “when”, and “for how long”.
In addition, all of the traditional features and controls that a manager has of electronic routing,
pooling, and reporting – must not be compromised. In production since 1998 and regularly enhanced,
VoiceWave Transcribe makes no compromises!
Time is Critical
Imagine if you will – untyped dictated reports reside on a remote transcriptionists’
PC – while critical turnaround of a report is missed. With VoiceWave Transcribe integration, all
downloaded voice files are “keyed” with critical factors – whether connected to the server or
working off-line. When the turnaround time “factor” is expired, untyped reports are automatically
deleted from the PC (while back at the server the report is simultaneously prioritized and routed
to the next available transcriptionist – even if the PC and server are not connected). There are
literally hundreds of rules and factors that VoiceWave Transcribe uses to deliver the maximum
available workflow to dictators, transcriptionists, and managers.
Audit Trail Has to Be There
Legal standards demand the very best in status tracking and audit trail reporting.
Nothing has been left to chance with VoiceWave Transcribe. There are over 20 status codes to track
the various “states” that a dictation can be in, in addition to all of the history information
available in a searchable database – putting timely information at your fingertips. If it happened,
you’ll be able to trace it thanks to VoiceWave Transcribe and VoicePower integration.
Station Display on Your PC…How Convenient!
Many transcriptionists have become accustomed to using the display on their
transcribe station for constant feedback of the report they are listening to. VoiceWave Transcribe
not only provides a similar display for your word processing screen, it’s completely tailored to
user preference.
Security Cannot be Compromised
VoiceWave uses HTTP to transmit data via TCP/IP socket communications. Unlike
SMTP (email) transmissions, HTTP does not use "helper" servers during transmission that can result
in copies left behind. By design, HTTP transmits packets (pieces) of a file across multiple
Internet paths to reduce the security risk. For higher-level security applications, third party
Encryption and VPN solutions that utilize HTTP are also supported. As a result, VoiceWave products
are seamlessly integrated into most any environment; and with the highest available security offered
on the Internet!
Save Time and Money
VoiceWave Transcribe reduces costs in more than one way. Upfront costs are lower
because the need for dictation ports and transcribe stations is eliminated. Ongoing costs for long
distance is eliminated also, if a simulated network or local ISP connection is utilized. In many
cases a Remote transcriptionist can use the same analog line or digital connection for both
dictation (voice) and transcription (text).
Save Valuable Keystrokes with Microsoft Word Integration
Through integration with Microsoft Word templates, VoiceWave Transcribe will provide
all of the job data to your word processing screen with the touch of a button; saving valuable time
and money. In addition, all of the most-used functions are added to your Microsoft Word Toolbar at
the touch of a button for maximum productivity of the transcriptionist.
VoiceWave Transcribe Will Even Deliver Your Documents
As an added convenience, VoiceWave Transcribe has the ability to carry your reports
back to the VoicePower Server as you complete them! Many transcriptionists find this feature an
invaluable addition to their application. Documents are transmitted from remote PC to a specified
directory on the VoicePower server – where any desired application can retrieve and process them
accordingly.
